I am a visual artist who specialises in Timelapse photography, 360 degree panoramas and filmmaking. I have worked widely in the field of generating nonfiction content for television channels in India. My last assignment was with the National Geographic Channel where I was heading the local content for NGC and Fox Traveller. I love to explore the mountains and have been trekking extensively in the holy ranges of the Himalayas.
The mountains, especially the Himalyas, have been my biggest inspiration and the force behind making me a Timelapse Photographer. Like many other conventions, a 3:4 or a 16:9 frame failed to contain the intensity of my desire to capture the grandeur and majesty of the Himalayas. I gave in to the urge to transcend beyond frames, to present what we see in their actual perspective, in their physical totality, in 360-degree angle, or in 180 degree.
My ambition grows with every frame. And then I want to capture time. Not as a fragmented moment but in their totality. Thus began the journey to capture nature and landscapes like it’s done never before. My first Timelapse film on Himalayas is a subtle attempt towards my goals. Besides this I have produced timelapse content for wildlife, sports and megacities.
There’s still lot to be explored and captured. And I firmly believe in the potential of this technique of Photography which can transform the way we look at the beauty of the things around us. I look forward to be with you in your projects to bring in novelty and freshness in the content.
